Skrill also secures top spot for “fee structure”
London, United Kingdom – March 8, 2011 – Skrill Holdings, which operates Moneybookers, has ranked the highest online payment service for “fee structure” and likelihood of “sellers to recommend”, by readers of US-based blog AuctionBytes.
Readers, which comprised mostly of sellers on eBay and other auction platforms, were asked to rate services across five categories on a 10 point scale. Skrill Holdings was rated highest out of all the services for “fee structure” (7.38) and when asked if sellers would “recommend the service to friends and colleagues” (7.66).
In “dispute resolution” it scored a commendable 7.06 and 5.78 for “popularity with buyers”. This slightly lower recognition was due to the company’s higher European profile, said the blog.
According to AuctionBytes, Skrill was a close second overall in the survey behind Google Checkout but ahead of payment service providers including Amazon Payments, Propay, Paypal and Paymate.
Around 1000 sellers responded to the survey.
Martin Ott, Group Co-CEO of Skrill Holdings, said: “We are delighted to have been recognised so favourably by the readers of AuctionBytes. We hope that securing such a high overall rating and leading the field in two out of the five categories will enhance our position outside of Europe as a leading online payments provider. We are very proud of being the most “recommended” payment provider.
“We’d like to thank AutionBytes readers for taking the time to offer their opinions and we are currently analysing their feedback to help us better understand our customers and improve our offering.”
